What do I need to bring to camp?
Your camp will be held under cover on individually fenced courts at Pictona 2.  You will want to bring a water bottle and some sunscreen in case you decide to play outside.  Pictona is a mile away from beautiful beaches so you may want to bring some beach attire, but we won’t hold it against you if all you want to do is play pickleball!

What happens if it rains during my camp?
Your camp will be held on courts under cover, so rainy weather will have no effect on your camp.

What about meals and accommodation?
Pictona has an onsite restaurant called The Kitchen that has a full menu and bar.  Lunch for each day is included in your camp fee.  Other meals can be eaten at The Kitchen, or at one of the hundreds of restaurants in the Daytona area! There is also and end-of-camp dinner that will be served under the Pavilion at Pictona. The dinner is also included in your camp fee.

Pictona has several hotel sand bed and breakfast partners in the area.  There are also hundreds of hotels and other rentals available to stay at during your Pictona Pickleball Camp.

What will be the daily schedule of the camp?
Camp will start at 8AM each day and goes on until 3 or sometimes 4pm.  There will be a lunch break of approximately 75 minutes each day.  There are numerous water break times built into the schedule as well.

Will I get to play pickleball outside of camp hours?
Answer is a resounding “Yes!”.  The Pictona pickleball community is a thriving one, and you will have the opportunity to play lots of pickleball after camps ends.  Looking for more instruction?  You can also book a private or small group lesson with one of our instructors! As part of the camp fee, you will receive a free pass that allows you to play the day prior or just after the camp.

Are there locker room/shower facilities at Pictona?
Yes, there are showers and both men and women locker rooms located at Pictona 1 that you may use.  Pictona 2 has large bathrooms that may be used for changing.

What if I need to purchase any pickleball items such as a hat, paddle, shirts or equipment?
Both Pictona 1 and 2 have full player shops with a wide selection of clothing, paddles, shoes, and pickleball accessories.
