Generations Pickleball Tournament

What is “Pictona Generations” about? The tournament is a two-day doubles tournament held on October 26-27, 2024. As Pictona always does, we’ll play round robins so everyone is guaranteed at least 4 matches. The Pictona Generations Tournament offers two exciting new formats that are not part of traditional pickleball tournaments.

Saturday, the 26th, is mixed doubles (male and female) playing split ages at skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+. The split ages are 30/50, 40/60, and 50/70. For example: For the 30/50 split, one player is 30 or younger and the partner is 50 or older. Or in another category, one partner is 50 or under and the other partner is 70 or older. Either gender partner can be at either of the two ages.

Sunday, the 27th, is gender doubles (men and women play separately) playing combined ages of 60+, 100+, and 130+ for skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+. The two partners have to have a combined age at or above the combined age category. For example, women’s 4.0, with a combined age of 130 may have one partner at 60 and the other at 70, or one partner at 50 and the other at 80, or one partner at 70 and the other partner at 75 (you can exceed the combined age).

Play Saturday in the Mixed/Split Age tournament at your skill level and then on Sunday play in the Gender Doubles/Combined Age tournament at your skill level. See below for a listing of each tournament category.

Tournament registration fee is $60 and each event fee is $20. Early bird special: Sign up by September 29, the last day of the Pictona Open by Emerge Insurance Services, and we’ll cancel your first event fee.

Split Age Mixed Doubles categories: 30/50, 40/60, 50/70 in skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+.
Gender Doubles Combined age categories: 60+, 100+, 130+ in skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+.
Brackets with less than 4 teams registered will be combined with another bracket.
Individual age group medals will be offered for combined age group brackets.
Format: Round robin with playoff in all brackets

Saturday October 26: Split Age Mixed Doubles
Sunday September 29: Gender Combined Age Doubles

Tournament results will be incorporated into DUPR.

Age of player is the player's age on 12/31/2024.

Tournament Pricing:
Tournament fee: $60 per person registration plus event fee of $20/event.
Early Bird Special: First event fee included with registration, if registered by September 29, 2024
A Pickleball Brackets Service Fee of $5/event will be added with a maximum of $10 service fee.

Medals: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category
