We're excited to offer Rookie Rally 2026 this next January 9-11. Players in the past, often first-time tournament players, have told us how much fun this tournament is. It is your opportunity to play others of like skill and age in a fun round robin format. Team up with your partner to play men's, women's, and mixed doubles at the 2.5 and 3.0 skill level.
And for our 2026 tournament, we're adding a Junior Division with two age groups and three skill levels. Here are all the facts about the Rookie Rally 2026.

Competition Events
Adult Division: Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles (No singles)
Junior Division: Boy's Doubles and Girl's Doubles (no mixed or singles)
Age Categories
Adult Division: under 50, 50+, 60+, and 70+
Junior Division: under 15, 15-19
Skill Levels
Adult Division: 2.5 and 3.0
Junior Division: 2.5 and 3.0
Format
Round robin followed by top 4 teams in playoff.
Number of games and points per game vary based on number of entries in each category.
Playoff: team 1 plays team 4, team 2 plays team 3, Winners play for 1st and 2nd, losers play for 3rd
All playoff games are 1 game to 11, win by 2
Awards
Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Tournament t-shirt for all players.

Adults
Early bird registration (ends December 9, 2025): $50 includes gender and mixed doubles, no event fee
Regular registration: $60, event fee $15

Refund Policy
Withdraw from the tournament for any reason before January 1 and we'll refund your money less a $25 service fee.
Skill Rating
We recognize the DUPR skill rating and UTR-P rating. If you do not have a rating go here to complete a self-evaluation of your pickleball skill.

We have 400 parking spaces surrounding the Pictona Campus and an additional 400 spaces within 100 yards. Parking is free.

Amenities
You'll play on 49 dedicated courts, each fenced in with 8 feet on each sideline and 10 feet behind the baseline. Superior LED lighting, optimal viewing of play for spectators on most courts, and lots of shade. Thirteen courts are under cover with a championship court that seats 1200. We have a restaurant (The Kitchen) and a concession (The Depot) that will appeal to your palette. Plenty water stations and toilets strategically located. The Pictona Player Shop awaits you with an outstanding selection of paddles and clothing. And we'll top it off with "Pictona" hospitality provided by our experienced staff and super volunteers.
