POP! Registration Eligibility

POP Event Registration Eligibility Policy

Objective: The primary aim of this policy is to maintain fair and balanced gameplay experiences for all participants during programmed play events within Pictona's POP! program.

Guidelines:

  1. Skill-Level Specific Events:

    • Starting from the year 2024, participants will only be eligible to register for events that align with their designated skill level in their CourtReserve player profile. For example:
      • 3.5-rated players can register exclusively for events designated for 3.5 skill level.
      • 3.0-rated players can register exclusively for events designated for 3.0 skill level.
    • Mixing skill levels within these specified events may disrupt the intended balance and quality of play for all participants.
  2. Specialized Programs:

    • Certain POP! events are tailored to cover a broader range of skill levels to accommodate various player abilities. For example:
      • The 3.0-3.99 seeded ladder is open to registration by both 3.0 and 3.5 skill level players.
      • The 2.5-3.49 seeded ladder is open to registration by both 2.5 and 3.0 skill level players.
      • The newly introduced Flex League, including an intermediate division, is open to both 3.0 and 3.5 players.
    • Recommendations for additional programming within the POP! schedule are encouraged and welcomed by the Activities Committee.

  3. Player Skill Assessment (PSA) Updates:
      • Players are responsible for setting their initial PSA within their CourtReserve player profile.
      • Any necessary changes to the PSA due to skill improvement or injury impacting performance can be communicated to the Welcome Desk.
      • Players seeking to update their PSA should contact the Welcome Desk at 386-310-7067 or visit the club in person for assistance. A Welcome Desk Associate will facilitate the necessary changes.

Procedures:

  • Upon setting their PSA in the player profile, participants will not have the ability to self-edit this information to maintain accuracy and consistency.

Conclusion: We believe that adhering to these event registration eligibility guidelines will foster a more enjoyable and competitive environment for all participants involved in our programmed play events. Your cooperation and feedback are appreciated as we continue to enhance the POP! experience.

For any inquiries or recommendations concerning event programming, please feel free to contact a member of the Activities Committee.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring fair and enjoyable gameplay experiences for all Pictona players.
