Pickleball players use ratings in order to place themselves in tournaments or leveled events. There are several different ratings bodies that assign a rating based on game results. As you can imagine there are lots of factors that can influence game results, so ratings assigned from these rating bodies may not accurately measure a player’s skill.
For this reason, Pictona instructor Dave Heinze has developed a rating system that will help players understand where their skill level actually is. The big difference is that this rating system will give a player a rating based on observed play vs. only game results.
The player receives a report on how their skills are assessed, and this will provide accurate and objective feedback for a player wishing to improve their game.
