What's one of the best benefits of being in the Pictona Garden Club? Going on field trips! On Saturday, September 11th, the Pictona Garden Club traveled down the road to Port Orange to tour Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens. Nestled away on ten acres in a Port Orange neighborhood just off Nova Road, DSMG is a historical site as well as botanical gardens. Pictona gardeners learned about the rich history of the site (including its brief stint as the Bongoland amusement park - look out for the dinosaurs!) while enjoying a guided tour of the many different gardens and plant collections. It was a fun morning with a wonderful group of people!
All are welcome in the Pictona Garden Club. If you're interested in learning about the Club and joining us in future activities, contact Rynn at rynng@pictona.org.
Island Doctors Tai Chi is canceled for this Tuesday (9/7) and Thursday (9/9). Sharyn will be back at the regular times (11:30 am on T & Th) beginning next week. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Stop into The Kitchen for a delicious Cuban sandwich. Our Cuban is served on a pressed roll with citrus mayo, marinated pork loin, sliced ham, melted cheese, and pickles. Served with a side of fresh brussel sprouts! (or side of your choice)

We have seen a significant increase in morning pickleball play on the AdventHealth Covered Courts at Pictona. A result of our growing membership and rising summer temperatures!
Our goal is to always serve the members and create the best overall experience we can for you and the many visitors we see day to day. After listening to feedback from members, visitors, and groups over the past few weeks we will be implementing a change to our summer court utilization plan to give more members the opportunity to play.
Members will be able to participate in Open Play Monday thru Sunday on all 8 AdventHealth Covered Courts from 8am to Noon. (Please note that there may be occasional exceptions for classes and clinics).
Members will be able to make reservations on the AdventHealth Covered Courts on weekdays between Noon and 5pm pending Pictona classes, private lessons and other club scheduled events.
Member reservations on the AdventHealth Covered Courts will be available after 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
