Tai Chi & Qigong

We've added another NEW Class!

Tai Chi is a gentle form of fluid exercise that develops strength, balance and flexibility. Qigong is a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self massage, sound and focused intent. Every class is suitable for beginners. 

Instrutor Bio

Andrew Townsend is a retired professor and a Tai Chi Master. He has been practicing Tai Chi and Qigong for over thirty years. Andrew is the author of ten previous books on the art of Tai Chi, including Tai Chi Essentials and The Tai Chi Teacher's Handbook. 

Instructor Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Buiness Administration, University of Phoenix(1995)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, University of California, Davis(1977)
  • Author, The Tao of Mediation
  • Co-author, Tai Chi for Health and Rehabilitation
  • Certification: Tai Chi Instructor( Tai Chi Healthways, 2005)
  • Promoted to rank of Tai Chi Master (by Grandmaster Jesse Tsao, 2012)
  • Designated as a 13th generation Chen style lineage-holder(2015)

Details

Fridays at 9 am.  The first class is this Friday, May 13th!

Cost: Class fee is $6.00 per participant, per class

What to wear: Comfortable clothing and flat soled shoes. 

What to bring: A bottle of water. No mat required
