Teaching Philosophy:
I build on people’s strengths with positive affirmation along the way. I try to quickly discern what their learning style is and primarily use that. Years of watching students have helped me understand how they can improve their game. Bad hitting habits are replaced with good ones. Most people come to me with good tools in their hitting toolbox. I try to add to that toolbox and provide strategies in the use of those tools. Lessons include rigorous drilling to not only develop good skills, but also be able to productively practice on their own.

I usually begin teaching fundamentals at the net then move back laying out strokes, strategies, and ball placement to get students to the net. A great deal of emphasis is put on moving quickly and efficiently and setting up properly for the shot. Lessons can also be designed around one or two aspects of the game that the student is struggling with.
