Playing 3.5+

You have attended PB-301 or are competent in the skills presented in that course. Playing 3.5+ is a course for 3.5 and 4.0 level participants who have participated in this level of recreational play at Pictona or in tournaments (See information on Pictona's Skill Assessment Program)

Our Playing 3.5+ course includes 2 two-hour classes. Each will focus on the skills and in game strategies needed for the advance level pickleball player to continue to improve. Classes are limited to 4-6 participants to maximize your opportunity to learn game strategy and participate in skill instruction. 

Each class is listed below with a brief description of topics covered:

Play on uncovered courts

Playing 3.5+ Class #1:

  • Dinking with purpose
  • Crossing the X
  • Offensive & defensive lobs
  • Resetting the point
  • Playing from the transition zon
  • Controlling the pace of play

Playing 3.5+ Class #2:

  • Developing and using the topspin forehand
  • Partner communication, switching & stacking
  • Player positioning
  • Overhead smashes

This course is open to both members and non-members. Participants must pre-register using either the member online reservation app or by calling the Pictona Welcome Desk at 386-310-7067. Check the Events Calendar or contact the Welcome Desk for dates and times  The cost of the class is $100.   Non-members must also purchase a day pass or use their Pic-10 punch card.
