**NEW** Specialty Class - How to Beat the Bangers

The How to Beat the Bangers Specialty Class is an 1 ½ session and  will be taught by Pictona’s IPTPA certified instructor, Sylvia Whitehouse and is limited to 6-8 participants.

Is this class appropriate for you? Participants should be 3.0 or above and the ability to execute successful forehand and backhand strokes with a 50%+ accuracy as well as being able to maintain a 8+ shot or more rally.

The How to Beat the Bangers Class teaches

• The value of HITTING DEEP SERVES and DEEP RETURNS WITH TOP SPIN so youropponents have a difficult time hitting a quality shot which enables you and your partner to hit a better shot and be in control of the point.
• ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK; It is vital that you and or your partner attacks first to keep your opponents on the defense. Keeping your shots low at your opponents’ feet, short in the kitchen or to their backhand keeps them on  the defense and makes it difficult for your opponents to attack.

In the How to Beat the Bangers class, Players will participate in drills to build understand importance of hitting net or below shots. Your instructor will provide you with feedback to ensure understanding and shot choice, ball placement, and court position, may also be addressed.

Routinely drilling, practicing and or having instruction will all help achieve consistency, lower unforced errors, and create muscle memory all of which help players gain confidence and improve game mental toughness.

The course is open to both members and non-members. Participants must pre-register using either the member online reservation app or by calling the Pictona Welcome Desk at 386-310-7067. Check the Events Calendar or contact the Welcome Desk for dates and times  The cost of the class is $100 and is paid at the time of registration.
