Pictona Code of Conduct

At Pictona, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all members, players, and guests. To maintain a positive atmosphere and promote fair play, we have established the following Code of Conduct. By entering the facility or participating in any activities, you agree to abide by these guidelines:

1. Respectful Behavior:
   1. Treat all individuals with respect, kindness, and courtesy, regardless of their skill level, age, gender, race, or background.
   2. Refrain from using offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language or gestures.
   3. Avoid engaging in any form of harassment, including physical, verbal, or emotional harassment.
2. Sportsmanship:
   1. Embrace the principles of fair play, honesty, and integrity.
   2. Accept both victories and defeats graciously, showing respect to your opponents.
   3. Avoid unsportsmanlike conduct such as trash talking, gloating, or intentionally disrupting the game.
3. Safety and Equipment:
   1. Prioritize the safety of yourself and others by adhering to facility rules and guidelines.
   2. Use appropriate and well-maintained equipment while playing.
   3. Report any damaged or unsafe conditions to the Welcome Desk immediately.
4. Court Etiquette:
   1. Follow the designated court usage policies, including proper rotation and court etiquette.
   2. Do not interfere with or distract players on neighboring courts.
5. Personal Attire:
   1. Wear non-marking court shoes to protect the playing surface and ensure player safety.
   2. Shirts are required at all times.
6. Smoking:
   1. Our campus is a nonsmoking campus. Please refrain from smoking and/or vaping in and around the campus.
7. Children and Spectators:
   1. Supervise children under your care and ensure they follow all rules and guidelines.
   2. Encourage positive and respectful behavior from spectators, creating a supportive environment for players.
8. Compliance with Staff:
   1. Cooperate with facility staff and instructors.
   2. Follow their instructions and respect their authority.
9. Reporting Incidents:
   1. Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to the facility staff or management.
10. Continuous Improvement:
    1. Strive to continuously improve your skills, knowledge, and understanding of the game.
    2. Promote the growth of pickleball by welcoming new players, offering guidance, and fostering a supportive community.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent expulsion from the facility.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure a positive, fun and inclusive environment for everyone at Pictona! See you on the courts!
